Q: How much does KillTimer cost?
A: Nothing at all. KillTimer is a freeware
program.Q:
Does it work with AOL 4.0?
A: At the moment, it does. =)
Q: Is there a
Windows 3.1 version of KillTimer?
A: I have been working on a Windows 3.1 version
in my spare time, but it isn't one of my main
priorities right now. If I get it in a releasable
state, I won't hesitate to put it up for
downloading.
Q: Is there a
Macintosh version of KillTimer?
A: No. L I haven't any experience
with Macintosh computers. The only similar Mac
program I've found is at http://www.rampell.com/software. If anyone knows of any
others (especially freeware ones), I would
appreciate it if you would tell
me where
to find it so I could link to it.
Q: What's a
"system tray"?
A: The system tray is a small region on the Win95
taskbar where programs can display icons to
inform the user of their state. Here is a picture
of a normal system tray, with KillTimer running:
You would access
KillTimer's menu by right clicking on the blue
clock icon. =)
Q: When I try
to run KillTimer, I get a window saying "You
can't have more than one instance of KillTimer at
the same time.". What gives?
A: If you get this message, KillTimer is already
running, and you can verify this by looking for
it's icon in the system tray.
Q: How can I
get KillTimer to automatically run when Windows
starts?
A: You would need to put an shortcut to
"KillTime.exe" in your
"StartUp" program group.
Q: Can I see
the source code to KillTimer?
A: No.
